Maps is optional. A family administrator can enable it in Settings → Getting there. When you request an address match or driving estimate, the addresses you choose are sent to Google Maps to complete that request. We do not request your device location or track your movements in the background.
Your saved starting address and travel planning choices are stored in your private family account. Adult family members can use the starting address. Only authorized family members can access the calendar. Clear the starting address or disable lookups in Getting there settings at any time.
A Directions link opens Google Maps, which may offer to use your device location under its own permissions. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Use of Google Maps features is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service. Driving estimates are planning aids and exclude live traffic in this version. Verify the destination, road conditions, and directions before traveling. Hot Mess Hangar™ does not guarantee arrival times.
Lookups have a daily family limit. Your saved travel allowances and Directions links remain available when that limit is reached.
